Well, summer is just about over so I'm ready to get back into learning and creating new work. I found the perfect online course to give me a kick start and more so, the education that I can use to develop my work. It's a five week course by Rachel Taylor, who is a surface designer in England, called The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design, http://dowhatyouloveforlife.com/pattern/. I have completed the first week and it's been great to get back to sketching and seeing things simply. Quite refreshing! The worldwide community for the class is great - it good to know there are others who are in the same boat as myself as I try to navigate surface design.
